Availity Claim Research Tool: Enriched Status Results

The Availity® Claim Research Tool (CRT) now returns more detailed information than ever before. With recent enhancements, providers have the ability to view added claim status data via the search results page all within a few clicks lessening the need to speak with a Customer Advocate.

Utilizing an electronic process, such as the CRT, is the most convenient, efficient and secure method of requesting claim status. This free online tool allows you to search for claims by member ID, group number and date of service or by the provider NPI and specific claim number, also known as a Document Control Number (DCN). Moreover, CRT enables you to check the status of multiple claims in one view.

Not only does CRT remain a real-time claim status tool, with easy-to-read denial descriptions, the search sesults now delivers the rendering provider ID and name submitted on the claim. Additionally, the claim status service line break-down, provides:

• Diagnosis Code
• Copay
• Coinsurance
• Deductible
• Modifier
• Unit or Time or Mile
