Countdown to ICD-10: National Implementation Update from CMS

August 7, 2015

Here’s timely ICD-10 news that can directly impact your practice. Mark this date and register today: Aug. 27, 2015, 1:30 to 3 p.m., CT. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) through MLN Matters® will host a MLN Connect national call five weeks before the ICD-10 Oct. 1, 2015, implementation date. Sue Bowman from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Nelly Leon-Chisen from the American Hospital Association (AHA) will be joining this MLN Connect Call program with coding guidance, tips and some of the most recent CMS updates.

In addition to recently announced ICD-10 updates and AHIMA and AHA guidance, the agenda will include how to get answers to coding questions, how to submit claims spanning the implementation date, results for end-to-end testing and various provider resources available to the provider community.

CMS suggests the call will be especially informative for physicians, medical office staff, medical coders, other non-physician practitioners and all Medicare providers. Continuing education credit may be awarded for participation in certain MLN Connects Calls.
